Ball tag
One player is “it” and throws a sponge football at the others, when a player is hit they become “it.,
Chinese Whispers
The players sit in a circle and pass on a short whispered message round the circle, when it gets to the last player they say the message out loud to see if it matches the original message.
Circle Squeeze
The players sit in a circle except one who leaves the room, another is chosen to start the squeeze while they are gone. The player returns and the starter squeezes the hand of the person next to them who then passes the squeeze along. The player who left the room has to locate the squeeze and when they do they swap places with the person who squeezed when they did.
Duck, Duck, Goose
The players stand in a circle facing inwards and one is “it” who walks round the outside tapping the girls’ backs and saying “duck” each time, then one time “it” says “goose” and they and the “goose” race around the circle whichever is last becomes “it.”
Fishes
The players are all named alternately: cod, plaice and haddock. They all stand in a circle and the leader calls out the name of one of the fish and all those “fish” run round the outside of circle racing back to their place, the last one back becomes a “dead fish” and has to sit down in their space. If the leader calls “all the fishes in the sea” then everyone standing races if the leader calls “dead fish” everyone sitting down races (the last one back then become a live fish again).

Tide turn – change direction
High tide – wiggling fingers in the air
Low tide – wiggling fingers near the floor
Fruit Bowl
The players are all named alternately: orange, pear, apple and banana. They all sit on chairs in a circle facing inwards except one who stands in the middle, they call out a fruit and those fruits jump up and exchange places. As they do this, the player in the centre sits in one of the seats leaving one in the middle. If Fruit Bowl is called, everyone has to change places.
Ha
The players lay down in a circle, each with their head on another's stomach, then one person says "Ha!" and the next says “Ha! Ha!" the third girls says, "ha! Ha! Ha!," and so on continuing to add an additional "Ha!" until everyone starts giggling and can't continue.

The players all sit on chairs in a circle facing inwards. The leader calls out a

Ladders
The players all sit in pairs facing each other with their legs stretched out and feet touching, this makes the ladder’s rungs along the floor. Chairs are placed at the ends of each row and a story theme is chosen e.g. trip to the zoo. The pairs are given names relative to the story (e.g. zoo keeper or animal name) and the leader then tells a story emphasising the names of the pairs when they appear. Each time a name is called the pair must get up and run down the ladder (carefully stepping between the legs), round the chair, up the outside round the other chair and back down the ladder to their place.
Last Letter Chain
First a subject is chosen (countries, pop bands, animals, etc.) the first person names one then the next person names one that starts with the last letter of the previous name.
Lighthouse Keeper
One player is the “lighthouse keeper” and stands at one end of the hall with a torch, they close their eyes while the others crouch down and hide their faces. The leader turns off the lights and the “lighthouse keeper” uses the torch to try and identify the other player, when the “lighthouse keeper” is correct they swap places.
Missing Person
One player leaves the room and while they are gone another leaves via a different door then the first player returns and has to guess who is missing.
Parachute Cat And Mouse
The players hold the edge of the parachute and two are selected to be the “cat” and “mouse”. The others shake the parachute as the “mouse” crawls beneath it and the “cat” crawls on top trying to catch the “mouse”.
Parachute Sharks
Three players are selected as sharks and go under the parachute, four are selected to be lifeguards and patrol the perimeter. The other players sit with their feet under the parachute holding the edge while the sharks try to pull them under. When a player feels the shark at their ankles they shout and lay back so that the lifeguards can come and pull them back out again.
Ships
All the players start in the middle of the hall, the leader calls out one of these actions and the players follow:
Bow – Run to front of hall
Stern – Run to rear of hall
Port – Run to left side of hall
Starboard – Run to right side of hall
Captain’s coming – Salute and yell "Aye, aye Captain"
Cook’s coming – Rub tummy and
say “mmmm”
Scrub the decks – Scrub the decks
Climb the riggings – Climbing actions
Man overboard – One Brownie jumps into another’s arms
Lifeboats – Sit in pairs facing each other, take hands and row
Freeze – freeze until defrost is said.
Defrost – shake off the chill
Submarines – Lie on back with one leg in the air
Bombs overhead – Curl into a ball with arms over head
Snake
One player is the “snake” and they chase the others, the first to be caught holds their hand and they chase the others catching them and joining them onto the snake, only the girls on either end can catch others.
Squeak Piggy Squeak
One player is the “farmer” and they are blindfolded, the other players are “piggies” and sit cross legged on the floor around the hall while the “farmer” crawls round until they find bump into a piggy then they say "Squeak Piggy Squeak" and the “piggy” says “Oink, Oink" and the “farmer” has to guess who the “piggy” is. If the “farmer” is right then they swap places.
Stuck In The Mud
One player is “It” and they catch someone, the player who was caught has to stop moving and stand with their legs apart until a free player crawls through their legs. When everyone is stuck the last person to be caught becomes it and everyone else is free.
Traffic Lights
All the players run around the hall, the leader calls out one of these actions and the players follow:
Green – Run around
Amber – Get ready
Red – Stop
Police – Run very fast making siren noises
